In what can be regarded as a payback mission, a secondary school student has inflicted serious injuries on a teacher, who punished his girlfriend.
According to a report on Pulse.ng, the student identified as Ebuka, attacked the teacher with a machete for punishing his girlfriend who misbehaved in class.
It was reported that Ebuka, had vowed to retaliate when he learnt that the teacher punished his girlfriend. He allegedly said he will approach the teacher later in the day wielding a cutlass.
At the alert of what was coming his way, the teacher fled, but Ebuka chased him into a classroom where he cut him with the machete in his head.
Ebuka attempted to inflict further injury on the teacher, but for the intervention of other teachers and students who overpowered him. He was apprehended and subsequently handed over to the police.
In another sad development, an Igbo businessman identified as Chijoke Ngwu Ogbodo and his wife, were butchered by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Katsina state.
