Goodluck Jonathan on May 27 attended his last Federal Executive Council meeting as Nigeria’s president.
But the outgoing leader was not the only person to have captured everyone’s attention.
Osita Chidoka, the acting aviation minister, was also
in attendance. The peculiar thing about his visit is that the official was riding a bicycle to the venue!
Recall that in 2014 Chidoka replaced Stella Oduah, the embattled former aviation minister. Ms Oduah, who seemed to be much more into cars than bikes, was accused of approving the illegal purchase of bulletproof autos worth N255million. After months of controversies over the matter, Ms Oduah was sacked under Jonathan’s administration.
Meanwhile Muhammadu Buhari, already tagged a “humble” leader, rejects using a Rolls Royce provided upon his arrival in London.
What else can we say? Let us just observe the amazing things happening in the Nigerian politics…
