Minister of State for Works, Prince Dayo Adeyeye has called on the
president-elect, Mohammadu Buhari, to immediately intervene in the crisis between the Ekiti State House of Assembly and Governor Ayo Fayose.

The
Minister, according to pointblanknews.com, said the All Progressives
Congress (APC) members in the State House of Assembly were capitalising
on Buhari’s victory to cause crisis in Ekiti.
He pleaded with Buhari not
to allow the house of assembly take advantage of his victory to foment
anarchy in the state.
Prince
Adeyeye described the impeachment moves by the state house of assembly
against Governor Fayose as a desperate plot to seize power through the
backdoor.
He said: “Why must there be crisis in Ekiti each time the APC elements lose
power to the PDP?

In the same vein, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has critcised the members of the Ekiti State house of assembly for what it described as “fomenting crises”.
The
National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Olisa Metuh, said this
as he answered questions from reporters at the party’s national
headquarters in Abuja on April 7, Tuesday.
Metuh
said it was wrong for members of the State House of Assembly whose
tenure would expire soon to undermine the peace of the state.
