The vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Yemi Osinbajo, cannot win the southwest for the APC says chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former special adviser to the president on social development and special duties, Hon Kunle Yusuf.

Rather, Yusuf was reported by the Daily times to have said the people would vote massively for President Goodluck Jonathan, considering the development witnessed in the region since Jonathan assumed office as president.
Yusuf, in a conversation with newsmen in Osogbo, Osun state on Monday berated the APC presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, who, he said, did not have any synergy with the people of the southwest just like his vice, Osinbajo.
According to him “Buhari, from all indications, has no synergy with the people of the South West geo-political zone of the country, so also, Osinbajo. Osinbajo does not have what it takes to win any of the states in the South West for the APC.”
It is widely believed that Buhari chose Osinbajo as his running mate as he needed a character who could win the support of people in the southwest. Buhari is believed to have a strong following in the north but is not as influential in the southwest, hence the need for Osinbajo as his running mate.
