Buhari's Wife, Daughter Speak On Elections Postponement, Jonathan

The relatives of the key political figures in Nigeria took to social media their attitude over the postponement of polls for six weeks.
The wife of the presidential candidate from the main opposition party All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari Aisha, has asked Nigerians to admit the shift of the Nigeria’s general elections in good faith.

While addressing women groups in Zamfara state Mrs.Buhari said Nigerians should realise the importance attached to the coming general elections, and that they should not be dispirited by any change in the schedule.
Buhari’s wife guaranteed that the extension would provide the opportunity for the party to lookout for more support ahead of the polls.
The daughter of APC presidential aspirant Zahra Buhari expressed her feelings on her alleged Twitter page. She said that postponing the General election has again proven President Jonathan’s level of Indecisiveness.

On his turn, the Deputy Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign, Senator Olorunnibe Mamora, said on Monday, February 8th, that the decision of postponement was “not based on altruism”.
The electoral body, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had quoted subjects of insecurity in the North-east, against which the security operatives established a letter requesting that the election should be postponed, as the reason for its decision.
The elections firstly scheduled to hold on February 14 and 28 have been postponed to March 28 and April 11.
The ruling Peoples Democratic Party in a respond to accusations of the shift of elections has said that while is supports the postponement based on the reasons given by the electoral body, it had no advantage from the postponement.
