The campaign train of the All Progressive Congress Lagos state governorship candidate Mr Akinwunmi Ambode hits Yaba mainland on Thursday.

while addressing the people Ambode debunked the rumor that his administration will displace people living in the Iwaya and Makoko areas of Mainland local government area of Lagos state.“There is no plan to demolish houses in the Iwaya and Makoko areas of the Mainland Local government areas of Lagos state” he said
Rather he says his administration would initiate developmental projects and make life comfortable for the inhabitants. “We will construct a canal that will ease the problem of incessant flooding in the area” Ambode promised. He also promised to empower women to start small scale businesses.

It will be recalled that President Goodluck Jonathan arrived in Lokoja, the capital of kogi State for the Peoples Democratic Party presidential campaign.

Also present at the rally was Hajiya Amina Sambo wife of the vice president, vice president Namadi Sambo, national chairman of PDP, Alhaji Adamu Mua’zu, governor of Kogi State Idris Wada, president of the senate and David Mark among others.
