President Goodluck Jonathan has been dumped by a group known as Mass Movement for Goodluck (MMG).
The group that allegedly worked for Jonathan in the 2011 general elections dumped for Muhammadu Buhari, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Leadership reports.
They have now become the Mass Movement for Buhari (MMB).
The National Coordinator of MMB, Kenneth Ibe-Kalu, who addressed the Northwest members in Kaduna said their action was prompted by the failure of Jonathan and the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) to deliver on their electoral promises and good governance.
He added that the PDP had failed to meet the yearning and aspiration of the citizens and that is why the people are seeking for change.
Kenneth urged the people to ensure that they collect their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) which is their voting power, just as he admonished the APC supporters to shun all forms of violence.
Also speaking, the Alhaji Abdulkadir commended the courage of the group to join the change train, while assuring them that the APC government is the answer that will salvage the country from imminent collapse.
“The PDP knows that their time is up and waiting only to hand over to an APC government come May, 29th, 2015, but let us not relent in sensitising people and be an ambassador of change in wherever we find ourselves,” he said.
He called on the group not to just stop at changing their name but to move a step further by being proactive in the quest for change by spreading the message to every nook and crannies of the country until the desired change is achieved.
